I had NO idea how this piece was going to work, but once I put it on I LOVED IT!!!

My favorite thing about fashion is that it’s an outlet for all the Mee’s inside – this REFURBISHED T-SHIRT and WALET CUFF made me feel zany and groovy..something that seems to slip away from me with all the running, working, cooking and mommin’ that I do.  I so am planning on rockin one of Chica Morena’s tops over a waffle long sleeve tee this winter.

Jeff Wells, the founder and designer of this line is a multi-talented guy, he is totally in tune with nature and can make something from everything  he touches. This t-shirt is a combination of many, he believes in recycling EVERYTHING and re-purposing fabric is his forte. These shirts are amazing up close, using both stitch and fabric glue he works the recycled t-shirt fabrics into gorgeous patterns.

This Wallet Cuff is too made of intricately placed recycled fabrics, the wallet space is holds cash and I.D.  Bringing a chic bohemian groove to your everyday look, Chica Morena is another local designer here in Nashville – I hope to inspire everyone where ever you are to dig through your local communities and find the fashionistas within, or take it upon yourselves to reach into your own closets, bust out your sewing machines and rework your old gear…bring that beat back.
