Check it out:
Friday the 13th is here and depending on which way you want to see it - lucky or unlucky – is up to you.
The number 13 has nothing to do with astrology so it is not part of a cosmic plan, but the number does in numerology add up to four which is not considered to be the most beneficial. However, Friday was considered the unlucky day to lots of folks back in the day and 13 was said to be a very lucky number in Pagan times – or Pre-Christian. I prefer looking at 13 as something that follows the 12 and the 12 represents completeness. As in 12 months in a year, 12 zodiac signs, 12 Apostles of Jesus, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 hours on the clock…So you see – I see Friday the 13th as a day to celebrate and recognize the end of a big week!
This Saturday is a fantastic day astrologically…the sun and moon are shining some seriously positive rays making our ability to perceive what’s really goin’ on in our lives. This is a great day for expressing an idea or sharing your feelings. For me, I plan on digging deep on a creative project..taking one of my ideas to another level!
This Sunday is totally set up for reflecting! Especially after one day of celebration and one of expression, it’s time to hang low and stare out the window! Crankiness can prevail, so try not to react and stay clear of conflict, it’s really not worth it…plus you lose so much energy that you’ll need for the upcoming work week!

Ooh Friday the 13th!! Love it! 13 is a lucky Pagan number because there are 13 lunar months in the year (12 solar months). A lunar month is 28 days, just like your menstrual cycle – the moon totally affects a woman’s menstruation, and in times before artificial light got in the way, all women menstruated on the new moon and ovulated on the full moon. So 13 is a goddess-oriented number, hence demonized by the Church when they were forcing the pagans to convert to Christianity and disconnect from the Goddess. Why is Friday “bad” in association with “13″? Because it is a reference to the Goddess Freya, after whom Friday is named. 13 became demonized just like brooms and black cats, just like “witch” used to mean “wise” and well, you know what “witch” means to many nowadays. I vote to reclaim Friday the 13th as a lucky day in the name of wise witchery!!!
I keep thinking about this, and now I’m wondering why 4 is considered to be “not beneficial” in numerology? Could it be for the same reasons that 13 is considered unlucky, since as you mentioned, 13 adds up to 4 in numerology? I’m just curious, since I always thought 4 was one of those big potent power numbers. In pre-Christian traditions, 4 is the number of the 4 directions, the 4 elements, the 4 quadrants of the universe. Throughout prehispanic Mesoamerica, the four-petaled flower was the core symbol for Life, and it has carried over onto the unique 4-petaled flower right in the middle of Guadalupe’s pregnant belly, if you look closely at the original image of Her. Shed some light for me please, since I don’t know much about numerology but am fascinated by symbology!! xoxo love ya!!
I love love love it! It’s so good gettin’ some feed back and learning even more!
Thanks Emily!!!!
