Before Princess Know It All became a full on site, it was a blog.  A blog that I really loved writing…Don’t get me wrong I still love writing the blog and sharing but it’s felt a bit stiff and I’ve failed to bring that everyday brain-chatter of mine to the table.

Today, I’ve locked myself in the Convent, needing to write a ton of copy for other projects..now that I’ve gotten some work done I can get my chat on with ya’.

But first, a few things to clear up…like my total Princess Know It All moment, after I ranted about cutting the sugar I realized that my “Know It All Self” placed a raffle for organic chocolates - SUGAR!!!  Oops, sorry gang, however you can all sign up and then pass the yummy’s along as stocking stuffers?  Maybe it’s life telling me to not be so rigid, relax and take a bite of chocolate now and again?  Hmmm…..

Speaking of relaxing,  yesterday I went to Lola’s school to participate in an art project.  Always I look forward to finding just one mom in her class that we can connect with and maybe Lola could have a friend to have “Lola Play dates” with.

I guess I should reveal one of my characters that you all might not have met just yet, her name is “Hi Im Too Much“!  I’ve been aware of her for a way long time, ’cause she’s made herself known since I was at least 3 years old. The thing about “Hi Im Too Much” is that she really means no harm, she just has a tendency to be a bit much.. She laughs loudly, her jokes sometimes get a touch too graphic, music and dancing is way her thing and she’s not afraid.. “Hi Im Too Much” is all about expressing herself and her opinions.

I should have known yesterday when I decided to wear red skinny jeans, furry camel colored 1970′s retro styled boots and topped off with a leopard Vivienne tam head scarf – Oh and how could I leave out the layers of long gold chains? All of this was a sign that I was headed for a “Hi Im Too Much” reunion.

It seems that no matter how I try to keep it all together, I always say something wrong or talk just a bit too much while attending a school event.  Maybe it’s the south, these folks seem to have mastered keeping it together on the outside. I happen to be someone who just needs to get whats in, OUT!

All was going well, the only thing loud was my outfit and I was doing my best not to let my “Hi I’m Too Much” jump out of the bag. I thought I’d made it, Lola and I made our way to the rug and we were reading a story, making small talk when all of a sudden Lola lifted her shirt and revealed her spots!!!

Yep, she’s got some strange kid thing – it’s NOT contagious just ugly and finally going away.  However Lola thought it a good idea to share these spots with the one woman who was kind of paying us some mind.   That was of course until she saw the ugly little red dots on Lola’s side – “Eww, what’s that Chicken Pox?” No, it’s some kid thing and it’s going away – Lola put your shirt down.”   I was tempted to tell her that the spots are Jungle Warts, but I thought that could endanger Lola’s spot at school, not to mention the hysteria such a joke could cause.  So I giggled to myself with the idea of it and Lola didn’t listen and instead was enjoying the audience, revealing once again her marks as she danced around the room pushing her shirt up.

Oh, man…there it goes our shot at making friends – I guess Lola has her own “Hi I’m Too Much” too.

Tomorrow I’m appearing on my first Morning Talk show -Fox 17 here in Nashville, I’m making Miso Soup and spreading the word about Princess Know It All, I sure do hope that my “Hi Im Too Much” is at bay…cross your fingers!
