“Every time I think I know it, I find out I don’t and then I have to learn it…” — Mee Tracy
In her first book of a series we meet Mee, the Know-It-All-Princess who lives high in a tower (a Beverly Hills high-rise) with her Diamond Dealer Prince. What could she possibly be missing? What could she be hiding?
Princess Know It All (P.K.I.A) signs herself up for a weekend in the desert with Shaman women. Expecting a spa and attendants, she finds herself sleeping on the floor of a Mongolian Yurt, which the main teacher has placed a spell over. The spell is a Mitoté that invokes truthful dreams and mind-bothering thoughts.
By the end of the first day the women are given a stone. They are told to place all of their fears in this stone. Mee has a panic attack! Letting go of her fear was not part of her deal! When she tries to fix herself in the mirror she is shocked by who she sees–her “Angel,” a saucy older black woman reminiscent of the ladies who raised her. “Girl, you better get up and take a good hard look at yourself, ‘cause you been hiding behind being somebody else for way to long,” her angel tells her.
P.K.I.A. agrees to move forward and on this journey through the desert her “Rewind” begins, re-introducing herself to all of the folks in her past she has created to survive:
“Hi, I’m Small and Invisible”- The part of her that shuts down in self-judgement.
“Hi, It’s Hard, I Can’t and You Don’t Understand”- her victim!
“Hi, I Can Save him!”- The Cheerleader!
“Hi, I’m Normal”- The please let’s not be different!
“Hi, Just Something to look at”- Trophies don’t talk!
“Hi, I’m Fine Without You”- Lack of intimacy and fear of connection.
“Hi, I’m Good Enough”- Plastic surgery and good enough on the outside!
“Hi, I Need to be Safe”- Learning through her mother’s actions she sees her choices and where they came from.
“Hi, Prada is My Life.”- The giant band-aid and hole filler!!!
“Hi, I’m Not Your Rib”- The activist!
“Hi, I’m Too Much”- Over the top and gold lamè all day!
“Hi, I’m Not Enough”- I judge myself and I wear beige all day….
“Hi, I See Dead People”- Self importance…
Meeting herself for the first time and remembering all that she comes from—tragedy, loss, greatness, capability and honor—Princess Know It All reignites the flame of Nobility within herself, changing her path and her family’s lineage.
