I’m a skirt wearing gal and this spring skirts have turned a corner and shifted into a new shape–one that I love!
Not knowing where to find these new higher-waisted, slightly fuller, swingy things, I decided to wait until a trip to NYC or LA to find my newest obsession. I figured I’d have to spend some dough to get the latest twist.
That was until I finally took a leap and headed over to Nashville’s 12th Street South shopping district. The 12 South District is an older part of town that has been made over and now it rocks with local artists, coffee shops, yoga studios and groovy boutiques.
From the moment I arrived in Nashville I’d heard buzz about a little hive of a boutique called Local Honey. Making my way to 12th Street South, I finally swarmed through the door! Good grief what had I been waiting on? Local Honey has, hands down, the cutest clothes I’ve come across here in Nashville, not to mention the SKIRTS I’d been hunting!!!
Shea Steele is the boutique’s owner and a clothing designer. Her line is called White Rabbit and, let me tell you, Shea gets down! Over the next few weeks I will feature more of her clothes and some gear
from the other designers that she reps and sells in her super cute and cool store! I’d always thought that up-and-coming fashion designers could only be found in major cities. That was until meeting Shea Steele. Now I KNOW that for sure every town has someone getting down on a machine and making fashion happen! So search your town and send me the info on these folks– I’d love to feature their stuff!
Talk about supporting local economies!
The first two of these skirts are White Rabbit and the yellow one is from–once again–my favorite: Forever 21!
What is so amazing about Local Honey is that the prices will make you scream with glee! If you’re in Nashville hit up Steele’s store. If you’re not, check out her etsy store and shoot her an email ’cause the secret is that Shea Steele is all about custom designing your gear!
Oooh, We are fixin’ to take Princess Know It All T.V. to Local Honey…so stay tuned!
