Concealer is tricky and much needed, getting it right is key to a flawless face! In the previous post I talked about applying moisturizer, so this will be the next step. Always make sure to start with a blank canvas. And as always, Princess Know It All is takin’ notes…
I have freckles, after a childhood of eyein’ up my grandmothers Porcelana (spot lightener) I’ve surrendered and found charm in my freckles. However, needing a dusting to cover “other” things I do use concealer, not every day but when I want a more polished look. Here is what I learned from my beauty lesson with Lauren!
First things first, our concealer color should be one shade lighter than our foundation color, as it creates a light trick which creates the illusion of a cleaner, softer complexion.
Gotta be sure to get the order of application right, applying concealer after moisturizer and eye cream, but before foundation. Using your index finger (or concealer brush, which is preferred) make three dots of concealer underneath your eyes and blend. Then move to the rest of your face placing dots of concealer with your brush wherever you may have redness…around your nose, chin or any blemishes you want to conceal. There should be no rough edges around the area where concealer is applied, or else it will stand out and be noticeable and hence defeating the purpose to CONCEAL!
