After spending a week in Mexico my desire for fashion change has had me Jonesin’ fo’new gear.  The weather here still hasn’t completely warmed up in fact a few days ago I wrapped myself in winter gear as if it were January (hopefully for the last time).

Lena to the rescue, she had a plan for us; we were going to check out this Vintage Store that she’d been too the previous week.  You see I want to mix up the style guide, Lena thought Venus & Mars would be the perfect place…What I didn’t KNOW as I crossed the threshold was that my morality would be tempted! You see I said for Lent I was NOT going to buy anything, that was until I spotted this ROCKIN’ dress and her blue and white sister…Ughhh..I was jonesn’!  Venus&Mars is so off the chart with treasures not to mention the wonderful layout, Talvin the store manager summed it up – shopping vintage is like shopping couture : they are one of a kind finds at an affordable price!! I love this and I second it!!!!

I just had to touch it as my child like mind started scheming up ways around my lent commitment!  I thought about how maybe SOMEBODY else could actually do the purchasing?

OH, how I covet this little 1970′s so Nicole Richie like dress, Talvin (the store manager) referred to it as “The Birds of Paradise”.

You should all KNOW I walked away from the dress only after putting my magic on it! Hopefully the cold weather will keep folks at bay so this little number doesn’t fly away….
