Lots of beauty tips out there focus on how to hook up the outside, what I’m fixn’ to do is bringing fo’you tips to assist via the inside. We can slather tons of creams and serums all over our bodies, but if we aren’t supporting the process, all the cream can do is lay on top like a blanket in the winter.
Being that this is March and we all are jonesn’ fo’ anything green after so much gray; here is what we did today, Lena and I headed on over to Whole Foods and got ourselves a shot of WHEAT GRASS (and even my dear friend Gil Ben-Ami made an appearance!!!) I know what your thinking, NASTY…but it’s not – its kind of sweet and smooth – plus the benefits are BANGIN!!!
Wheat grass is SOOOOOO good for our skin it’s actually a beauty treatment known to slow down the aging process when the juice is consumed. We spend tons of time cleaning and scrubbing our skin, but how about cleaning our blood? Wheat grass does just this: cleansing our blood and helping to rejuvenate aging cells, which will then help to tighten loose and sagging skin. The best tip ladies and gents, is that long-term consumption returns gray hair to its natural color!!!! This alone is worth drinking the one-ounce shots, no?
Another tip fo’ya is that acne is actually an INFLAMMATORY skin condition; Wheat grass reduces the acid levels in our blood LOWERING the inflammation. It can be applied directly to sunburn, skin rashes as it is also an antibacterial inside and outside of the body- hence why it helps with acne!
The added perk is that it makes you feel more alive right away- like an un-jittery shot of espresso, in fact I’m now hitting Whole Foods for a 1 ounce shot of wheat grass in the afternoon instead of coffee!

You can find it at any local healthy juice bar, or grow your own…they do sell trays of the fresh wheat grass and you can buy it and take it home to juice fo’yo self.
Freeze dried wheatgrass can be ordered online in capsule or powder formula, however ingesting it freshly squeezed is the best deal.
